Robert Lowe, DDS

Robert Lowe, DDS

Robert Lowe, DDS, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, magna cum laude, graduating second in his class from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1982. Dr. Lowe has maintained a full-time private dental practice for 26 years and is also a world recognized clinician in the fields of cosmetic and rehabilitative dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, state and local dental society components, as well as being a sustaining member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and a member of the American Society of Dental Aesthetics. Dr. Lowe taught Restorative and Rehabilitative Dentistry for 10 years at Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago, IL and has accumulated and presented hundreds of hours of continuing education each year since graduation. Dr. Lowe has authored and published several hundred articles on many phases of cosmetic and rehabilitative dentistry in several highly respected dental publications. He has also received Diplomate status on the American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry, an honor shared by less than 50 dentists in the United States. Dr. Lowe reports receiving financial support from Kerr Corporation, Dentsply Caulk, GC America, Heraeus Kulzer, Voco America, and SDI.

Sibel Antonson

Sibel Antonson

Dr. Antonson is currently a Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine (NSU/CDM), and Director of Clinical Research for Department of Cariology and Restorative Dentistry in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  She served as the Clinical Professor and the Director of Dental Biomaterials at SUNY at University of Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine, and was also a Director of Education and Professional Services at Ivoclar Vivadent. Dr. Antonson has been involved with teaching, research and practice simultaneously initially at the University of Florida, Department of Dental Biomaterials (1997-2000) and NSU/CDM (2001-2008).

In 2000, she was appointed as the New Products Manager at Dentsply Caulk where she invented and launched PoGo, the first one-step composite finishing and polishing device. She was elected as the President for the International Association of Dental Research, Dental Materials Group in 2007-2008. Dr. Antonson is serving as the Councilor for the same organization. She has authored book chapters and peer-reviewed publications, and lectured nationally and internationally on dental biomaterials, prosthodontic and restorative techniques.

Barbara Shearer

Barbara Shearer

Dr Shearer graduated as a dentist in 1986 from the University of Otago, New Zealand. She has worked in hospital and private practice and spent four years on the faculty at the University of Otago’s School of Dentistry. She has also trained as a specialist Prosthodontist and has a PhD in molecular biology. For seven years she worked for industry in oral care research and development in the UK.

Barbara joined Colgate in New Zealand in 2004, and then moved to Sydney, Australia in 2006 to manage Scientific Affairs in the South Pacific region. In 2010 Barbara joined Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals as the Director of Scientific Affairs, based in New York.  She is a member of the American Dental Association, International Association for Dental Research and fellow of the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics.
