Dental Product Shopper had the opportunity to talk with Dr. Ben Burris, a Dental Product Shopper evaluator since 2009 and an Arkansas orthodontist who in 2013 offered low-cost teeth cleaning after he saw a need in the area. Burris possesses a regular dental license in addition to his specialty practice license, but his cleaning services program was suspended after the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners told him he was breaking the law and that his licenses would be revoked if he did not immediately stop the cleaning services. Now looking to take a stand, Burris shares his story as he fights alongside colleagues and the Institute for Justice to provide the necessary care to those who need it at the right price.
