Read more So many materials, so little time. Let’s stop the madness. With a myriad of newer restorative materials and seemingly endless choices in adhesion and bonding systems…could this stuff be any more confusing? When do we etch, bond, cement, rinse, moisten, dry, cure? Do I need different materials for enamel, dentin, composite, zirconia, lithium disilicate, or metal? Newer “universal” bonding agents simplify adhesion, give results with superior bonding strengths, and work with almost all current restorative materials. The bonding world is simpler, better, and less sensitive.
Special emphasis will be given to:
· Applications for total-, selective-, and self-etch techniques
· Cementation of indirect restorations using universal bonding agents and resin cements for maximum retention with minimum problems
· Efficient posterior direct composite placement—preparation, bonding, matrix selection, and bulk fill
