Kathy Bassett is a 1980 graduate of Eastern Washington University with more than 40 years of experience in a variety of general and specialty dental environments, 30 years of experience as a professor of dental hygiene at Pierce College, Lakewood, WA, and as an adjunct professor with the Departments of Oral Health Sciences, University of Washington, School of Dentistry, Seattle.
Kathy is a coauthor of Local Anesthesia for Dental Professionals and has authored numerous articles and textbook chapters on infection control, dentinal hypersensitivity, and local anesthesia, including Clinical Practice of Dental Hygiene by Esther Wilkins, Mosby’s Dental Hygiene: Concepts, Cases, and Competencies, Dimensions of Dental Hygiene, Decisions in Dentistry, and Dental Advisor.
