Abstract
Delivering a crown should not be stressful—for you or your patient. In this practical session, Dr. Naren Rajan and his team of experts will walk through the essential clinical steps, from tooth preparation and site management to digital design, milling, and final seating. Participants will learn how to optimize preparation, manage tissue and moisture, capture accurate scans, and understand key design principles. Using two different leading CAD systems, our design experts will demonstrate how to leverage pre-op scans to streamline the design process, eliminate guesswork, and restore the patient’s natural anatomy with a perfect fit. The program will also cover zirconia selection, milling optimization, and polishing techniques to ensure a precise fit and predictable results. Follow this process and achieve stress-free crown delivery in as little as 10 minutes.

Rob Laizure
Rob has 19 years of dental industry experience. In 2011, Rob co-founded FullContour.com, the world's first outsource dental design center. After 3Shape acquired FullContour in 2017, Rob served as the CEO of 3Shape Design Services for six years. In 2020, Rob lead the launch of 3Shape Automate, the worlds first dental CAD AI Design platform. In 2023, he became the EVP of Strategy at Harvest Dental. In 2024, he founded rebel3d to change the way Dentists and Technicians collaborate with digital workflow and manufacturing.
Greg Everett
With 17 years in dental manufacturing, Greg Everett founded Denteon in 2021 to support dental labs with optimized milling strategies focused on Roland Mills and Millbox CAM software. In 2024 Greg partnered with rebel3d to specialize in automated manufacturing of the Rebel Crown.
Dr. Naren Rajan
Dr. Naren Rajan has been an avid 3Shape user since 2015, starting with the original TRIOS scanner and progressively incorporating the full suite of 3Shape products into his practice, including smile design, implant planning, and laboratory software. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Rajan runs a full-time general practice in Mendham, NJ, focusing on restorative, implant, and esthetic dentistry using digital workflows.
A graduate of the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine with OKU honors, Dr. Rajan earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He trained at Spear Education and the LD Pankey Institute and has been involved in digital techniques since 2007. Dr. Rajan currently serves as the Assistant Director of Digital Dentistry at the Touro College of Dental Medicine in New York, where he is developing a digital workflow curriculum to prepare the next generation of dentists.
Daniel Portal
Daniel Portal has 13 years of advanced knowledge of exocad. Daniel is a certified level 3 exocad trainer. One of only 18 in the world who is officially qualitied to teach every design indication in every exocad design module. Daniel can teach you how to design a crown in 2 mins in exocad and every trick that exocad “expert mode” offers for the most advanced All on X cases.
Ben Guilford
Ben Guilford has 24 years experience in 3d dentistry. Ben is a 3Shape design expert and a certified Asiga support and repair technician. Ben is a Senior Technical Support specialist at WhipMix where he validates 3d print resin and works closely with R&D for developing new 3d print innovations. Ben is a Co-Founder of rebel3d where his passion for design and technical support serves the success of 3d dentists across the US.
