After completing this webinar, participants will be able to:
• Develop a treatment planning philosophy
• Acquire surgical techniques for placing overdenture implants
• Answer questions of where and how many implants to use for overdentures
Abstract
This course is intended for clinicians with varying degrees of experience in overdenture procedures. This lecture will provide an overview of treatment options for denture patients that are faced with narrow ridges and/or financial limitations. Attendees will be introduced to multiple implant systems and learn which systems are best suited for which types of cases. Specifically, techniques and advantages of treatment with one-piece vs. two-piece implant systems will be covered in detail. Attendees will leave this course better equipped to offer an expanded range of overdenture treatment options to their patients.

Author Bio
Xavier E. Saab DDS, MS
Dr. Saab completed his residency in Prosthodontics and Master of Science degree at the University of Texas - Houston Health Science Center. He was awarded a full scholarship after graduating Valedictorian of his dental school class from the University of Guayaquil in Ecuador. Dr. Saab completed Head and Neck rotations at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and served as Clinical Assistant Professor in the UTHHSC Department of Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Saab is an active member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the Academy of Osseointegration, Dr. Saab continues his pursuit of excellence by practicing prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Houston where he has been established for over 10 years. He bases his education philosophy in his conviction that in order to master a skill, it is necessary to be able to transmit it to others, and that’s the source of his passion for teaching. He has been lecturing nationally and internationally in the areas of CAD/CAM dentistry, dental esthetics, occlusion, and implant dentistry for over a decade.
