Educational Objectives

  • Dental sleep medicine requires dentists and their teams to navigate an insurance jungle of paperwork, legal landmines and black holes of time.
  • With limited appointments available each day, dentists must prioritize their patients: working with dental sleep medicine patients is a poor use of chair time.
  • The treatment of this deadly condition is best handled by physicians, not dentists.

Abstract

With an estimated 25% of all ages suffering from Sleep Apnea, a condition that can affect every part of the body and the growth of children, why aren’t more dentists treating their patients for this disease? After all, we are the physicians of the masticatory system and have advanced knowledge of the airway.

In this one-hour CE online course, Dr. John H. Tucker will debunk the 3 biggest myths that prevent dentists from introducing treatment to their patients for this important condition.
