Educational Objectives

After completing this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the scientific foundation of enamel demineralization and remineralization, including the role of pH, saliva, and biomimetic technologies.
  • Differentiate between traditional and modern caries diagnostics, with emphasis on Minimally Invasive Dentistry (MID) and prevention-first approaches.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of diagnostic innovations, including visual-tactile assessment, fluorescence-based detection, and other advanced technologies for early caries detection.
  • Evaluate the mechanism of action and clinical efficacy of emerging remineralization agents and self-assembling peptides for enamel regeneration.
  • Apply minimally invasive protocols in pediatric and adult populations, integrating early detection and non-invasive remineralization.

Abstract

This masterclass offers clinicians a comprehensive approach to preserving enamel by leveraging cutting-edge diagnostic methods and remineralization science. Grounded in the principles of Minimally Invasive Dentistry (MID), the course emphasizes early detection and non-invasive treatment to halt and reverse early carious lesions. Participants will delve into the science of demineralization and remineralization, explore advances in caries diagnostics, and examine the role of biomimetic materials in promoting enamel regeneration. The course also addresses integration of minimally invasive protocols into daily practice, practical implementation strategies across diverse patient populations, and proper coding and documentation to support clinical and financial success. Through real-world case studies, participants will gain confidence in applying these techniques to enhance patient outcomes while preserving natural tooth structure.
