Abstract

Replacing porcelain veneers isn’t always simple. When removal of veneers exposes aggressively prepped teeth, careful treatment planning and communication are essential. This course uses a case study to present each step of the process, with practical tips for assessing corrective tooth preparation, effective lab collaboration, and rationale for material selection. Presented are useful insights to clarify and align expectations between patient, dentist, and ceramist to achieve predictable, esthetic results. Included are clinical protocols and a workflow outline to address the unique clinical challenges that arise when replacing porcelain veneers on already aggressively prepared teeth.
