  • Determine the characteristics of air-abrasive powders (discuss the different powders available)

Abstract

With the continued advancement in technologies and products alike, providing successful patient outcomes in healthcare, more specifically oral health care, is at our fingertips. We are now able to provide patient interventions that are not only evidence-based and predictable, but they can also increase patient acceptance, growth, and retention. Air-powder-water technology can provide clinicians with a minimally invasive approach to complete oral biofilm removal, while sustaining hard and soft tissues integrity. With low-abrasive powders being a key player in this supportive periodontal therapy, we can confidently provide minimally invasive treatment.
