Abstract
Today's dental patients seek a new, transformative oral health visit beyond the traditional scratch-and-polish model. Modern biofilm management protocols offer an engaging patient experience with minimally invasive techniques supported by robust scientific evidence. As dental professionals, it is essential to make evidence-based decisions that align with our commitment to enhancing patient care. By integrating scientific and technological advances into our dental hygiene practices, we can elevate the patient experience, improve clinical outcomes, and promote long-term oral health.
In this course, Dr. Osman & Beheshta Bassam, RDH, will share how they have redefined their approach to empowering patients to achieve optimal oral health in a comfortable, compassionate environment. From effectively managing biofilm to addressing complex dental cases, their passion for dentistry and innovative mindset have allowed their practice to set a new standard of excellence in New Jersey.

Beheshta Bassam, BS, RDH
Beheshta Bassam is a registered dental hygienist that is passionate about providing preventive oral care, non-surgical periodontal therapy and oral and systemic health education to her patients. She thinks it’s a privilege to provide her patients with oral care. Beheshta believes it’s important to educate her patients about the oral-systemic health connection to empower them to become the best advocate for their overall health and wellbeing. As Dental Hygiene Clinical Director of SPF Dental care she holds her team to the highest standard for providing evidence based oral care. She plays a key role in integrating and implementing new dental technologies and dental advancements.
Beheshta Bassam received her Baccalaureate in Biology and Chemistry in her undergraduate studies. She finished her Dental Hygiene Associate in Allied Sciences at New York University College of Dentistry. She’s a member of International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine where she serves to ensure she brings holistic care to her patients.
Dr. Kareem Osman
Dr. Osman is an experienced and passionate general dentist based in New Jersey. He is renowned for his patient-centered approach and commitment to advancing dental care. Since establishing his practice in 2019, Dr. Osman has been dedicated to staying at the forefront of dental innovation. He and his team continually explore new technologies and techniques to deliver the highest level of care tailored to each patient's unique needs.
