Educational Objectives

After completing this webinar, participants will be able to:
• Distinguish the dynamics of composite polymerization and how to minimize polymerization shrinkage stress.
• Describe different adhesive systems and how to optimize their performance.
• Discuss mitigation strategies to reduce the risk of transmission of airborne pathogens in dentistry.

Abstract

Direct posterior composites are the "bread and butter" of most restorative practices and proper management of the adhesive interface is crucial for predictable placement. This requires an understanding of the materials being utilized, the substrate being bonded to, and a correct and precise clinical protocol. The very latest materials, techniques, and controversies will be discussed. Over three one-hour lectures, Dr. Alex will review just what composites are and discuss practical step by step methodologies and placement techniques based on the latest research and materials.
