Abstract

Most patients have some type of malocclusion or misalignment of teeth that they have considered fixing. Some patients may be too shy to discuss or feel they may be too old for treatment. Or, worse yet, their general dentist may have never even asked them or explained to them the importance of straight teeth.

There have been increasing requests, due to unsolicited marketing by a multitude of companies on multiple media platforms, for aligner therapy. Many orthodontists have been steadily growing their aligner therapy to include more and more adolescent patients as aligner therapy has gained the acceptance of the dental community. Most patients would love to stay at their general dentist’s office to accomplish this treatment.

Do aligners work? The good news is yes they do! Do they have their limitations? Of course!

Find out how you can implement, grow, and utilize aligner therapy to create a win-win situation for both you and your patients. Know what to look for and how you can tackle cases so that you look forward to your next case.
