Educational Objectives

After completing this webinar, participants will be able to:
• Empower the dental hygienist beyond the “prophy”
• Build a growth center that maximizes managing most periodontal and implant conditions
• Develop “realistic” therapies with emphasis on micro-ultrasonics, air medical delivery, and laser technology
• Create a patient-centered niche that is unique to the community and drives patients to you

Abstract

Periodontitis is a major reason for tooth loss and now systemic complications. We create the user-friendly perio approach from patient acceptance scripting to chairside positive action. You will incorporate time-tested and new technologies to find and manage periodontal disease using the entire team. Take the frustration out of delivering periodontal care and gain success with patient case acceptance, tooth retention, and financial reward. The general dentist and their team have an opportunity to demonstrate success in patient care and mental/physical well-being with positive financial growth. However, being effective in today’s environment can be a challenge and somewhat overwhelming. We examine effective strategies to create a workflow that results in immediate positive feedback. Building on a growth area in periodontics from non-surgical to surgical procedures, especially with the “over 55” population, produces net gain with reduced overhead. Being discriminate on technology assets with a selection producing value-added revenue results in a practice niche that adds new patients and retains existing patients.
