Abstract

Retained overdentures on implants, retained root structure, or a combination of both, makes a huge difference in the quality of your patient’s ability to speak, eat, and enjoy life.  Every bit as important, retained overdentures can improve YOUR enjoyment of life and satisfaction about what YOU can deliver to your patients.  Happy denture patients are those that can smile, chew painlessly, and say “good morning” without their lower denture jumping out of their mouth. When you see them at recall, they tell you how well they’re doing, not how sore and unhappy they are.  How do you convey the benefits to the patient during treatment planning?  How do you convince them that the extra expense is worth it?  How do you avoid problems and make this treatment modality THE huge boon to your practice enjoyment that it should be!  Removable overdentures are far more cleanable than fixed hybrids and avoid many of the problems of that restoration modality.  This program will discuss all those issues and more. It will give you a number of tools to evaluate, present, and deliver positively retained overdentures to your patients who have or desire a full denture solution.
