  • Increase patient acceptance for the treatment of noncavitated caries lesions and describe the  consequences of non-action.
  • Understand the mechanism of action of peptide P11-4 and clinically apply the product following manufacturer instructions to arrest and regenerate damaged enamel.

Abstract

Dental caries is the number one most prevalent preventable human disease on the planet with a complex multifactorial etiology involving personal, behavioral, psychosocial, and environmental factors. Caries rates have not declined globally since 1990, indicating oral health interventions are not meeting the demands of the public. Dental providers are in an excellent position to identify and reverse caries lesions prior to cavitation with minimally invasive chemotherapeutic therapies and patient education. Come and join Dr. Paul Mikhli, DDS and Lisa Mayo, RDH for an hour long jam-packed course that takes an evidence-based look at contemporary approaches to managing noncavitated caries lesions.
