Educational Objectives
By attending this webinar you will learn how to:
Analyze the five key touchpoints in the patient journey to pinpoint where a practice attracts or repels new patients, referrals, and revenue.
Calculate the average value of a new patient and quantify the revenue lost when patients fail to schedule or show.
Compare the operational behaviors of average-performing and top-performing practices across new patient flow, referrals, and treatment acceptance.
Evaluate automation and AI tools using a human-first framework that protects, rather than erodes, the patient experience.
Abstract
Most dental practices assume slow growth is a marketing problem. The data tells a different story. Across decades of practice-performance research, the practices that grow fastest are rarely the ones spending the most on advertising—they are the ones that have stopped unintentionally repelling the patients, referrals, and team members they want most.
This session introduces a practical framework for diagnosing where a practice gains or loses opportunity at every stage of the patient journey. You will follow a new patient from first contact through scheduling, the first visit, the treatment decision, and the referral—and see exactly where the average practice quietly loses 20–50% of its potential before a patient ever sits in the chair and what they can do about it the next day.
Flint Geier breaks down the measurable differences between average-performing and top-performing practices, the real economics of a single new patient, and how to evaluate emerging automation and AI tools without commoditizing the patient experience. You will leave able to identify your own highest-value opportunities and take action on them right away.
