Dr. Nick Marongiu
Dr. Nick Marongiu practices full time in private practice at Scripps Center for Dental Care in La Jolla, California. Scripps Dental is established on the foundation of providing comprehensive multi specialty oral healthcare at a single location and is one of few offices encompassing all board-certified specialists working together as a team to provide inter-disciplinary patient centered oral healthcare.
Dr. Nick has a passion for cosmetic dentistry and is an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He has served the Academy in various capacities over the years and has additionally served several leadership positions within the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and local dental societies.
Dr Nick has remained committed to education and advancing the clinical practice of dentistry having published in jCD, CDA Journal, AGD, and Compendium. He has lectured for CDA Presents Art and Science of Dentistry, AACD Scientific Sessions, Greater New York Dental Meeting, and Southwest Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Outside publishing and lecturing, he additionally works with manufacturers giving product feedback and support for product and technique training.
Outside of private practice and organized dentistry, Dr. Nick is involved with community service, loaning his expertise and training to Give Back a Smile, Loloma Foundation, Missions of Mercy, Remote Area Medical, USNS Mercy, Flying Docs, Project Hope and several other organizations that provide dental care to underserved communities throughout the world.
When Dr. Nick is not immersed in dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Jenn, two sons, NJ and AJ, and the family golden doodle, Isabella. He loves construction projects, wood working, surfing, fishing, and backpacking.
