Author Bio

Dr. Joc Jernigan

Dr. Jernigan graduated from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 2013. Afterwards, he joined DentureCare & Implant Solutions, Drs. Jernigan & Associates PA in Rocky Mount, NC. The practice is niche in the sense that it focuses on treatments for partially and fully edentulous patients, utilizing treatment modalities ranging from dental implant therapies to traditional removable methods. While finishing dental school and during the subsequent years since, he developed a passion for dental implant therapies as well as continuing education, taking ample courses and continuums devoted to dental implants and associated therapies. He has accumulated 1000+ hours of continuing education devoted to this subject matter. In his practice he is constantly working to develop edentulous implant treatment options that are more achievable for his patient population, with competency in both surgical and prosthetic aspects. He was awarded his Fellowship with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry in 2022. He teaches and mentors with 3D Dentists, serving as developer and instructor for their Introduction to Full Arch & Advanced Overdenture and Full Arch Express Didactic and Live Patient Programs, and mentor for their introductory Dental Implant Continuum Didactic and Live Patient Program. As an educator he aims to make implementing the concepts and treatments taught as simple and predictable as possible for practitioners. He has been utilizing 3D Printing in his office since 2016 and has since continued to gain proficiency in digital workflows utilizing CAD CAM technologies.
