A picture is worth a thousand words—especially when patients can see their own oral health. Designed for general dentists and dental teams, this course explores how intraoral scanning and AI-assisted visualizations can build trust, improve understanding, and support informed treatment decisions.
Through clinical examples, Tai Ha, DDS, presents a practical “show, tell, do” approach to explaining tooth wear, gingival recession, crowding, cracks, suspected caries, plaque, and tooth color. Participants will learn to connect visual findings with clear explanations and appropriate treatment options.
The course outlines a new-patient workflow featuring assistant-led scanning, live viewing, and dentist-led review. It also explores sharing scans for patients to revisit at home and discuss with family.
Drawing on personal practice experience, the presentation highlights opportunities to strengthen patient engagement, treatment acceptance, and referrals while emphasizing clinical judgment. Attendees will leave with practical communication strategies and workflow ideas to apply in their own dental practices.
By attending this webinar you will learn how to:
Identify opportunities to incorporate intraoral scanning into a consistent new-patient workflow.
Interpret AI-assisted scan findings alongside the clinical examination and other relevant records.
Demonstrate a “show, tell, do” approach to explaining findings and treatment options.
Apply scan-sharing strategies that help patients review and understand their oral health beyond the appointment.
