Lisa Mayo, MHA, BSDH, RDH
Lisa Mayo, MHA, BSDH, RDH graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Baylor College of Dentistry and a master’s in healthcare administration from Ohio University. She serves as the academic chair of dental hygiene, dental assisting, and surgical technology at Dallas College. Lisa is also the author of Power Instrumentation for the Dental Professional, published by Jones & Bartlett in 2023. Richard Willamson, CPT
Rick Williamson, CPT a nationally recognized Pilates practitioner and personal trainer, developed the Body Praxis system after successfully rehabilitating numerous dentists suffering from musculoskeletal disorders. With over 26 years in the fitness and rehabilitation industry, Rick's journey began after a severe car accident in 1980. Through advanced self-rehabilitation methods, he overcame his injuries and now owns an exclusive studio where he designs Pilates-based rehabilitation programs for clients, including professional athletes and medical professionals. Rick holds certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine, the Pilates Method Alliance, and has served on various medical boards and committees.
Jonathan Moffat
Jonathan Moffat’s passion for helping dentists build and protect wealth started early. As a kid, he saw his grandfather, a once-thriving orthodontist, lose nearly everything due to fragmented financial advice. That sparked Jonathan's lifelong mission: to help dentists avoid similar struggles and turn their income into lasting wealth.
Jonathan began his career in 2006 by co-founding DDS Strategies Group with his father, helping dentists become financially organized and strategically efficient. He deepened his expertise through specialized programs at UC Irvine (Personal Financial Planning) and The Wharton School (Investment and Retirement Strategies). Over the years, he’s shared insights on estate planning, taxes, goal setting, and dental business strategy at colleges, dental societies, Crown Council, and events hosted by Henry Schein.
In 2012, Jonathan founded Aligned Advisors with a clear purpose: helping dentists achieve financial freedom, create more personal time, and ultimately step away from the chair. His hands-on dental industry experience includes scaling Launch Dental from a single practice to an eight-location Dental Service Organization (DSO) in just over 5 years. He’s shared lessons from this journey widely, including through his role as faculty at Henry Schein’s Dental Business Institute and as contributor to "The Road to Success," and author of the widely referenced white paper "The Future of Dentistry."
Outside of work, you can find Jonathan on the field coaching his children's soccer teams or on the road cycling. He lives in San Diego with his wife Deborah and their four children.
Michael DeFee, DMD, PhD
Dr. Mike DeFee is the founder of MOD Aesthetics, and oversees all clinical operations at the private practice. He is also the managing director of MOD Research, directly overseeing new research initiatives.
He previously founded My Friend’s Dentist, a private practice in North Carolina which became the 1st Certified B-Corporation practice on the east coast. He stewarded the organization through a digital transformation leading to triple digital growth during his leadership. The practice was acquired by Light Wave Dental in early 2021.
An alumni of The Dawson Academy, Dr. DeFee has published over 10 articles in peer reviewed journals including The Journal of Virology and Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.
